First semi-automatic terminal in Italy put into operation

On December 12, local time in Italy, with the joint efforts of the shareholder management team, the COSCO Shipping Port delegation team and all staff of Vado Terminal, the Vado Gateway Terminal in Italy was officially put into trial operation. Zhang Dayu, Managing Director of COSCO SHIPPING Ports Co., Ltd. attended the event and discussed the subsequent operations of Vado Gateway and Vado Cold Storage Terminal with APMT senior joint venture partners.

 

Vado Gateway is jointly invested and operated by COSCO Shipping Port and APMT. COSCO Shipping Port holds 40% of the shares. When completed, it will have two berths with a total coastline length of 700 meters, a forward water depth of 17.25 meters, and an annual throughput capacity of 860,000 TEU. The front of the terminal is equipped with 4 bridge cranes, and the backyard is equipped with 14 fully automatic railway cranes, with a total of 950 cold box sockets.

 

Vado Gateway

 

Vado Gateway is the first semi-automated terminal in Italy. The terminal can receive and operate the world's largest container ship without considering any other factors. Once Vado Gateway is operational, it will form an integrated operation with Vado Cold Storage Terminal. All shareholders will go all out to build Vadod Europe's latest logistics portal port to serve more shipping companies.
